WHAT IS YOUR OPERATION REVEALING?

Three colleagues collaborating on a project in a casual office setting.

Plans and policies tell one story. Daily operations tell another.

Dozier Parrish Consulting helps founder-led and growing businesses identify the gaps between what leadership intends and how work is actually performed.

Through DPC ALIGN™, we examine leadership, roles, workflows, policies, communication, and accountability. Then DPC MOTOR™ turns those findings into clear ownership, practical systems, and an implementation plan.

MEET DENITA PARRISH

Meet Denita Parrish

I’ve always been the person who notices what is missing.

When responsibilities are unclear, information is scattered, or something keeps falling through the cracks, I naturally start asking questions. Who owns this? What is holding it up? What would make it easier for everyone to follow?

That part of me existed long before DPC. Earning my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management gave me the knowledge to turn that natural instinct into practical systems. My experience taught me how to use those skills in the real world, where priorities change, people get busy, and even good plans can get lost.

I started Dozier Parrish Consulting because I genuinely enjoy bringing clarity to messy situations. I want small-business owners to have processes that support them instead of creating more work. Sometimes that means documenting a workflow. Sometimes it means building a tracker, clarifying ownership, or simply helping a team slow down long enough to identify the real problem.

DPC brings together who I naturally am, what I studied, and the kind of work I care about doing. Based in Detroit, I want to help local businesses build stronger foundations and move forward with more confidence.

HOW ALIGNMENT BECOMES ACTION

DPC ALIGN™

DPC ALIGN™

DPC ALIGN™

DPC ALIGN™ compares what leadership intends with how the organization actually operates. We assess the plan, listen to leadership and the team, inspect the operating evidence, gauge the gaps, and name the priorities that need attention first.

DPC MOTOR™

DPC ALIGN™

DPC ALIGN™

DPC MOTOR™ turns the ALIGN findings into clear ownership, documented processes, practical tracking, implementation, and follow-through.

INSIDE THE DPC ALIGN™ ASSESSMENT

A structured review of what leadership intends, what the team understands, what the documents require, and what actually happens during the work.

A — Assess the Intended Operation

Review the mission, vision, values, strategic priorities, financial condition, leadership expectations, policies, and stated culture.

L — Listen to Leadership and the Team

Meet with leadership, department heads, and employees to understand expectations, concerns, communication patterns, and informal workarounds.

I — Inspect the Operating Evidence

Examine organizational charts, job descriptions, SOPs, employee handbooks, policies, procedures, workflows, forms, trackers, checklists, meetings, and reports.

G — Gauge the Gaps

Compare the intended operation with the observed operation to identify unclear ownership, weak handoffs, conflicting roles, missing processes, duplicated work, bottlenecks, and risk.

N — Name the Next Priorities

Organize the findings into immediate corrective actions, priority recommendations, ownership decisions, and a practical 30-, 60-, or 90-day path forward.

What the Client Receives

A DPC ALIGN™ engagement may include an Operational Alignment Report, gap and risk findings, priority recommendations, immediate corrective actions, ownership assignments, and an implementation roadmap.

OPERATIONAL ALIGNMENT REPORT

Insight is only useful when leaders know what to do next. At the conclusion of an eligible DPC ALIGN™ engagement, the client receives a practical Operational Alignment Report that translates assessment findings into a prioritized path forward.

Depending on the engagement scope, the report may include:

• An executive summary of the organization’s current operational condition
• Organizational strengths and capabilities to preserve
• Operational gaps, risks, and areas of misalignment
• Priority recommendations organized by urgency and business impact
• Immediate corrective actions for the first 7–30 days
• Ownership assignments and accountability expectations
• A phased 30-, 60-, or 90-day implementation roadmap
• Measures for monitoring progress and results
• Recommended options for implementation support

The report helps leadership understand what requires attention, decide what should happen first, assign responsibility, and move from insight to coordinated action.

Report contents are tailored to the scope of the engagement and the evidence available during the assessment.

Operations in Practice

The Challenge

Preparing 7-day notices and late letters required gathering rent information, reviewing account histories, and preparing each document individually. The process regularly took eight hours.

What DPC Did

DPC mapped the process, standardized the letters, organized the required information, and created a consistent review sequence with clear checkpoints.

What Changed

The process was reduced from eight hours to less than one hour. It is now faster, easier to repeat, and less dependent on one person remembering every step.

DPC MOTOR™ IN PRACTICE

A practical framework for turning scattered work into visible, owned, and repeatable operations.

M - Map the Moving Parts

Identify what is stuck, delayed, repeated, unclear, or living in one person’s head.

O - Own the Handoff

Clarify ownership, communication, decision points, and next steps.

T - Track the Work

Create visibility around what is open, urgent, assigned, and waiting for follow-up.

O - Organize the Process

Turn repeatable work into SOPs, workflows, templates, and communication rhythms.

R - Roll It Out

Train the team, test the system, adjust what is not working, and make it stick.

Why DPC Is Different

Most operational problems are not caused by people refusing to work. They are caused by unclear ownership, missing information, weak handoffs, and systems that no longer match the business.

DPC looks beyond the visible symptom. We examine what leadership intended, what the team understands, what the documents require, and what actually happens during the work.

That broader view helps us identify the real breakdown before recommending another policy, meeting, tracker, or piece of software.

The result is not more paperwork. It is a clearer operation that people can understand, use, and maintain.
